Hi kl_changs,
The centre seat has a sash belt (ie; three points belt system) in the Camry models that my friends have. Hope that helps.
Best regards

whitenite,
thanks. useful link.
but the feature i'm after is not clearly stated. it's written as Centre second row/rear lap/sash belt. does that mean a 3-point seat belt? perhaps it means "lap or sash belt"??

OZ members,
i think that it's important to have 3-point seatbelts for all seats in the car.
Do the 2-year-old Camry Ateva and Honda Accord have 3-point belt for the middle seat at the back?
cheers

Hmm, dunno but you can try searching thru www.carsales.com.au
under "Research"

Mrs Chang : The Camry you see in OZ and Malaysia are of the same kind. They are manufactured using the same platform. It is just being produced in different countries and with different specifications. Go to a UMW Toyota showroom with your booster chair and baby seat and try out . Make sure the car is with a 3-point seat belt in the middle seat.
If you are looking for a sedan, get the new Honda Civic. I think it is less than AUD25K (the high end model). The Civic's wheelbase is just 40mm short of its elder brother, the Honda Accord (2800mm vs 2840mm for the Accord). Very roomy inside ... like sitting in a Honda Accord.

ooh....that's a mighty good idea, dave
we'll drop by Toyota and Honda show rooms, and pretend we're buying new cars. woo hoo....!!!!

Hi kl changs,
Camry Ateva good choice, just bought mine for Aud18K 2003 model 5 months ago. Quite economical very roomy inside. If u prefer MPV can go for Kia Carnival about Aud23K for 1 yr old car.

Anyone knows whether a Toyota Camry Aveta is big enough to lug my 3 kids around, considering i will have 1 baby seat, 1 booster seat and the eldest sitting in the middle?
The Camry's i see in Malaysia a huge! They are long and looks roomy inside. Not sure about the OZ versions.
What about Honda and Nissan sedans? Which are the roomy ones?
MPVs very expensive lah. Used ones still cost > $30k
